Sweater Weather

Autumn is my favourite time of year and that's mainly because of the fashion and makeup. There's nothing I like more than feeling all cosy in big knit jumpers and splashing through puddles in my combat boots on rainy days (which we get a lot of in autumn in the UK!) so this is a post dedicated to my favourite jumpers/sweaters that I will be wearing all throughout Autumn this year:)

Look 1:

This is a casual look which features the typical autumnal colours; maroons and deep purple and cranberrys. I bought this jumper last year from new look and it's definitely one of my favourites for Autumn.
Jumper - New Look
Jeans - Primark
Shoes - New Look

Look 2:

Look 2 in my opinion is slightly more girly and fun but still has a slight touch of edge with the combat boots. This outfit is perrfect (see what I did there) for a shopping day with your friends or maybe even for a casual lunch date.
Jumper - New Look
Jeggings - M&S
Boots - Brantanos (similar styles in most high street shops)

Look 3:

This 3rd look is definitely one I will not be able to wear this Autumn as it just isn't warm enough in the UK, but I may switch the shorts for jeans and throw on a leather jacket so I can get some wear out of this top before winter. I know in some country's some of you can still get away with wearing shorts and crop tops so this ones for you! The crop top still has a crochet/knitted feel so it will keep you a bit warmer than normal crop tops when it gets a bit chillier in the evenings. I was going to take my giraffe socks off for the photos but I decided to keep them on as I love them and find them a bit quirky as many people would only wear them in the house! Let me know if you would wear them or not!
Top - Topshop (available in a variety of colors)
High waisted Shorts - Topshop
Shoes - White Converse
Socks - New Look

Thank you for reading and let me know what your favourite piece of clothing is for Autumn.

Mask Of Magnaminty Review

Last weekend I picked up my second tub of the 'Mask Of Magnaminty' from Lush as after finishing the first tub I had come to the conclusion that it works wonders on my skin. I have combination/oily skin and break out quite a bit on my forehead and this mask is great for clearing up my skin. I use this product twice a week for a deep cleanse rather than just doing my normal skin care routine and after using it twice, since I bought my new tub, my skin has cleared up a lot quicker than I thought it would take! I haven't used this product in a few months since I finished my original tub and started trying new things but now I've repurchased it I don't think I'll forget to pick up a new tub again, yes it's really that good!

"This peppermint mask does everything it can to fight eruptions and outbreaks and return your skin to tip top condition." This mask does everything it says on the tin(or should I say tub?) and I have already recommended it to some of my friends.

The mask has quite a thick texture and has a few lumps and grains to exfoliate and really deep clean your skin. I felt a teeny bit overpowered when I first smelt it as for me it's a bit too strong but I got used to it and I'm fine with it now.

Overall this product is essential for me to keep my skin clear and fresh and I would recommend it to anyone who is after a good ol' face mask! Lush has got a huge thumbs up from me!:)

Must-Have Monday - Hello Autumn

For this 'Must-Have Monday' I am going to be showing and telling you about products that you should be rocking throughout Autumn.

The first product is the Bite Deconstructed Rose Lip Gloss Library. I am a massive fan of Rose colours for Autumn and this set has 12 stunning rosey undertoned lipglosses suitable for any occasion. I am not totally sure if this available in the UK as I purchased it while on holiday in America.

The next two products are both gorgeous shades to wear on your eyes this Autumn. The first eye shadow is L'oreal Colour Infaillible in 005 Purple Obsession and the second is MAC's Rose pigment. They may seem a bit bright for Autumn colours to some people, but darkening the crease with a dark brown shadow and blending it down  into the lid gives it a more Autumnal feel.

Here are some lip colours that scream Autumn to me just by looking at them. Including your traditional berry red and a deeper, duskier nude these 4 colours are ones that will get a lot of use this Autumn/Winter.

What are your 'Must-Haves' for Autumn?

Janoskians Got Cake Tour

Last night my best friend and I went to the Janoskians tour and it was one of the best nights of my life. The energy and stage presence Luke, James, Daniel, Jai and Beau have is fantastic and would highly recommend going to one of their shows. Everything they did on stage from the comedy to the singing was fantastic and even writing this I still have a smile on my face because for the whole 2 hours they were on, all I felt was happiness and love for the 5 boys! So here are some of my photos from last night:) they aren't the highest quality because I was taking them on my phone and they are a bit blurry from the lighting. Enjoy!

August Favourites 2014

This month I have have been trying out some new products and rediscovering some of my makeup I've owned for a while. I have also included some random things I've been loving as well, so here are my August favourites!

My first favourite is my MAC lip pencil in Subculture which is a dusky pink nude. At the minute every time I am wearing a nude lip I will be wearing this either to line my lips and fill in with a nude lipstick or I will fill in my lips with the pencil and put a lip balm or gloss on top.

When I was in America recently in the holidays I picked up the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and I literally haven't picked up another brow product since! I always used to see everybody rave about it but couldn't purchase it here in the UK and didn't want to purchase it offline because I had no idea what shade to get! But now I have it, I have fallen completely in love with it! If you want natural, full eye brows this is the product to buy.

I have also been using my MAC eye shadows more recently and always reach for my palette now. Since you can make up your own palette all the shades I own are ones that I love. I've also been using the shadows I don't normally gravitate to as well and have created many different looks for any occasion!

This month my Topshop Magic Liner ran out and since I have to travel quite far to my nearest Topshop I popped into my local Boots and picked up L'Oreal's Superliner. It is just as good as my Topshop Magic Liner which I love and the slim nib makes it really easy to apply a thin line as close to my lash line as possible which is what I wear daily.

The Vamps album 'Meet the Vamps' has been playing from my phone constantly this month as I've been preparing myself for when I go see them next month eek! I'm so excited:) I love all of the songs on the album and my personal favourites are High Hopes, Another World and Move My Way.

In the month of August I also discovered Green Tea and am now completely obsessed! I've been told it is very cleansing and good for you which is the reason I originally picked it up but after trying it I loved the taste and how refreshing it is.

Thank you for reading and let me know some of your favourites in a comment below:)

Top 5 Back to School Makeup Essentials

Since some people have already started back at school or are about to start back I thought I would do a Back to School blog post:) Since i'm a makeup fanatic this blog is going to be about the makeup products I think are suitable and essential for school! For school I don't wear anything apart from mascara, eyeliner and a tad of lip gloss but I know quite a lot of people also wear foundation, concealer, eyebrow products etc etc, so I will include a few I think are suitable and long lasting since your makeup is on for 6 hours plus and you don't want it to start to slip and slide! Enjoy!

The first product I think is essential for school is a waterproof mascara because I find waterproof mascaras are more smudge proof and will hold the curl for longer than a regular mascara. You can buy most mascaras from the drugstore in waterproof version but a couple of my favourites are Maybelline The Falsies waterproof and Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes waterproof.

If you are wearing face makeup ie foundation or concealer make sure you set it with powder so it doesn't wear off throughout the day.My favourite powder is Rimmel Stay Matte or Rimmel Clear Complexion. Lightly sweep it over your skin to set your face makeup, so you don't end up looking powdery or cakey.

For school I would recommend just a lip balm or a teeny bit of gloss rather than a lipstick because at school you don't want to be constantly topping up your lip colour, and most lipsticks will fade throughout the day especially at lunch/break when you are eating. So any of your favourite lip glosses or balms will do the trick nicely:)

If you are wearing face makeup you want long lasting products that will hopefully keep you looking fresher for longer than normal foundations and concealers. I recommend MAC pro longwear foundation along with the pro longwear concealer. Finish your face with some powder and your makeup will last longer than if you were wearing products that aren't designed to be worn for a long period of time.

This last product won't be everybody's cup of tea and you don't have to do this for school but if you would like your skin to look fresher and more awake you could swipe a tiny amount of highlighter on your cheekbones giving your skin a glow but this is totally up to you!

Thank you for reading and I hope going back to school will go smoothly for you all!
Ellie:) x
